Annual Projects and Activities
Recurring community benefit projects we deliver each year.
If We're Traveling, There's a Reason
The "If We're Traveling, There's a Reason" project is a series of events organized under the umbrella project "Let Health Be the Only Thing You're Addicted To." It aims to raise awareness about addiction prevention, encourage information sharing, and foster new friendships through monthly walking, running, sports, and cultural activities.
RotaGurme
Organized social activities in nursing homes and offered moral support.
Let My Kite Be a Cloud
As the Ankara Beysukent Rotaract Club and Ankara İncek Rotaract Kulübü, we carried out a fun and meaningful activity during our autumn event — a colorful Kite-Making Workshop. The proceeds from the workshop were donated to support the education of children in the earthquake-affected region, providing educational, art, and sports equipment, as well as library materials, to a school in Hatay.
Collaboration with the Autism Foundation
As part of our long-standing traditional collaborations with the Autism Foundation, we continue to carry out projects such as "Love in Our Bag," "A Day at the Autism Foundation," "The Magic of Music" (in collaboration with the Ankara Kızılay Rotaract Club), and "Field of Awareness" (also in collaboration with the Ankara Kızılay Rotaract Club).
Beysukent on the Street
Our traditional "Beysukent on the Street" event aims to capture the spirit of the streets through its warm and lively atmosphere, emphasizing the power of community while transforming this togetherness into a meaningful social responsibility project. During the event, we enjoy street food and have fun with activities such as beer pong, darts, Uno, and tasting games. All proceeds are donated to the "Let's Plant Goodness, Unite in the Future" project of the Ankara Beysukent Rotaract Club — allowing us to contribute to nature and plant seeds of hope for the future while having fun.
The First Hope of the Year
The "New Year's Magic" project was launched to bring a glimmer of hope to families in need as we welcome the new year. It aims to spread the warmth of solidarity and sharing.
Warm Hearts
As the Ankara Beysukent Rotaract Club, we launched the "Warm Hearts" project on January 25, aiming to provide essential humanitarian aid to homeless and disadvantaged individuals — helping them feel valued once again and reintegrate into society. Through our soup distribution activity, we reached 85 people, offering not only a warm meal but also rekindling the Rotary spirit within us. In this project, we share not just a bowl of soup, but also love, empathy, and solidarity, continuing our efforts to create a world where no one is left behind.
Little Geologists
Our "Little Geologists" project, which has been ongoing for two years, aims to teach children about earth sciences and promote the development of a society that is aware and prepared for natural disasters. Our goal is not only to donate books, but also to reach more students and teach earth sciences in an interactive way at schools. Each year, we continue to support scientific thinking and help raise a more conscious and disaster-ready generation.
Vocational High School Students Meet Art
As part of our traditional "Vocational High School Students Meet Art" project, we visit the Art Fair to inspire young people and broaden their perspectives. This event is not just a fair visit — it is organized to help students develop artistic awareness, nurture their imagination, and encourage the emergence of new artists from among them.
Let's Celebrate April 23 by Decorating Everywhere
With our traditional "Let's Celebrate April 23 by Decorating Everywhere" project, we aim to make April 23 brighter and more hopeful for our little friends receiving treatment in the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Hacettepe University. Each year, we decorate the hospital corridors with balloons, flags, and childlike dreams, sharing the holiday joy with small gifts, smiles, and love. We believe that the strongest medicine for healing is love, joy, and hope, and by celebrating this special day together, we support our little friends on their journey to recovery.
Plastic Cap
Our Plastic Cap Project, which we expand each year through collaborations with different clubs, aims to support individuals with disabilities while raising environmental awareness. The caps we collect help provide wheelchairs through the Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey (TOFD). Caps gathered from our homes, schools, and various venues turn into beacons of hope, allowing us to overcome obstacles while also contributing to environmental protection through recycling.
Homemade Pet Food
With our Homemade Pet Food project, ongoing for six years, we prepare pet food using ingredients from our homes, package it, and distribute it to feeding points for stray animals, where our RotaCans deliver it. In this way, we both protect the health of our animal friends and raise awareness about the well-being of stray animals.
Let's Plant Goodness, Unite in the Future
With our new project "Let's Plant Goodness, Unite in the Future," we visit village schools every year and plant fruit trees in their surroundings. Additionally, we contribute to the education of our little friends by providing age-appropriate reading and school books. This project is more than just a visit; it is a meaningful step where we combine goodness with the soil and sow hope for the future. We will continue this project every year for a greener, more conscious, and caring future.
